Interior Designer Wanted – Shape Meaningful Spaces with Azimin Architect!

Azimin Architect is currently seeking an Interior Designer to join its Alor Setar studio, supporting the practice in shaping interior spaces that are thoughtful, functional and visually well-resolved. The role is ideal for a creative and motivated designer with a minimum of 2 years of experience who enjoys turning ideas into practical, detailed and engaging interior design solutions.

Working closely with the architectural and project team, the Interior Designer will be involved in design development, presentation preparation, technical documentation, material coordination and site-related support. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who wants to grow within a design-led environment while contributing to residential, commercial and hospitality-related projects.

Typical responsibilities of an Interior Designer include:

• Assisting in interior design development and space planning
• Preparing design drawings, concept proposals, mood boards and presentation materials
• Producing technical drawings and interior documentation
• Coordinating with consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal team members
• Supporting material selection, design detailing and project coordination
• Attending site meetings and assisting with site coordination when required
• Ensuring design work meets project requirements, timelines and standards

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience
• Background in Interior Design or related field
• Able to prepare drawings, presentations and design documentation
• Familiar with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion or V-Ray
• Good design sense and attention to detail
• Able to communicate and work well with the project team
• Responsible, willing to learn and able to manage assigned tasks
